MP Discusses Student's Concerns

Southport's MP John Pugh met students at KGV college this week to discuss some of the concerns raised in his recent questionnaire. Dr Pugh's wide-ranging survey covered topics such global warming, immigration, crime, and perceptions of bias in the media, and the MP today returned to the college to present the results.

MP Targets 'Bed-sit Land' Improvements

Southport's MP John Pugh is calling on local people to get involved in the drive to improve what has been termed "Bed-sit land". In some parts of the town Southport's stock of Edwardian and Victorian houses have fallen into a sad state of disrepair, with the once proud facades of these grand-old homes now betraying the neglect the properties have suffered from for decades.

Pugh Demands Answers From Hague

In light of a recent visit to Southport by Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague, the town's Lib Dem MP John Pugh has asked the front-bencher to explain the reasoning behind the Torie's recent decision to back Government attempts to block the reopening of the corruption case against BAE Systems.
